Albert Camus once wrote, "Blessed are the hearts that can bend, they shall never be broken."
This may be true... Maybe it has learned to endure. Maybe it loves and wants to keep loving, so it leaves no room for brokenness. Maybe it is surrounded by too many hearts who care for it, what's a little stretching, a little flexibility test to see if its strong? so the heart bends especially when necessary.
Yet, as flexible and enduring this heart can be, it doesn't mean that it doesn't feel pain.
And it doesn't mean that it hurts less. Because it hurts just the same. Yes, it's not broken, but the agony is not something that it is spared from. Especially if the one who hurt you is the one you gave you want to give all of your heart to.
